Energy

The heartbeat of a small child
A heavy weight upon a balanced pin
From lightning that scorches the skies
In-between and all around us
From the man that just died
Black holes that swallow the stars
The shallow breeze
From the spinning of a top
Pulsating through the walls
From the woman’s meager smile
A continuous current
Pulsing through the veins
From the shallow pools distributed by rain
The mother keeping order
From Mother Nature taming the earth
And the little mouse eating his cheese
While the humming bird hums
And leaves fall away to die and on the latter

Reborn again

Dusters

Counting the days
They find in a year
To catalogue the moments
They always hoped for and feared.
Passing without thought then
Forgotten under the sands,
Lost with regret they can’t
Turn back a hand.
There are more following
Behind unsure of the same
Choices repeated in stride.
They stare at the cycle
Endless in turn,
Grinding away the gears
A clockwork motion presents
The real moments
Each and every do earn.
Then vapors gone leaving
Nothing to time.

Cadenza

Dreams unsubstantial
Life stems form
Dreams give breathe
Life… turn brilliant
Sweet
Honey drops on
Hard comb shells, Stinging
Just a little
Be cautious a
Sweet intoxication drowns
Yields unmeasured
Ecstasies, dreams
Breath a nightmares bittersweet
Reality.

such a little Slacker!
Not a very keen tracker.

Limping memories of jaded dreams.
you Laugh but you find no Meaning-

Baboons they pee on their Mates
'CAUSE THEY like THEM!

Echo

days Consumed
Into the nights,
Hold fears and
Shadows cast
Asunder by a Moon’s
Weeping light.

“Hark!” quoth
One soul lost
Trembling into Streams
Hacking away truculent
Dreams
Waking only a seconds
Tic-tock.

Crowing light ascends
Above rolling gullies
Apprehension seeds
Into empty
Stomachs, putrid
Repeat…
